Workshops 2025
Watercolor leaves Workshop
Instructor: Kat Block
Adults & Older Teens
Date: Thursday, November 13, 2025
Time: 9:30 am - 12:30pm
We will be making paintings of leaves that can easily be mistaken for real leaves on a white surface. They will be that realistic and it is easy to do!
It is helpful if the attendees bring leaves that have been cleaned off and set under a heavy book to the workshop so we have a nice assortment.
Attendees will learn an easy method for drawing leaves.
They will learn basic watercolor techniques.
They will discover how to preserve the organic character of the leaves.
This is all not difficult at all, very surprisingly.
Please bring the following supplies:
140 lb cold press watercolor paper, 8” x 10” or 9” x 12”
#2 and #4 pointed round brushes
HB pencil and eraser
Watercolor paints: Cadmium red medium. Cadmium yellow medium and deep. Raw umber, burnt sienna, sepia, sap green, phthalo green, alizarin crimson, ultramarine blue
Leaves if you have them
