Torn Paper Beach Collage Workshop

Instructor: Kat Block

Adults & Older Teens

Date: Sunday February 1, 2026

Time: 1:30pm - 4:30pm

Participants will set up an asymmetrical composition for a landscape. They will first establish a horizon line.

They will create a sky with clouds and perhaps a sun. The paper will be torn for the clouds band tonal variations will be created by layering tissue paper in top of pastel paper. That way there will be soft edges such as can be seen in clouds,

The water will reflect the colors in the sky and there will be thin ripples. If there is a sun in the image, the light will be reflected.

The artists can decide whether they wish to include any land forms.

All if the papers will be layered to achieve a natural depth effect.

$7.00 materials fee paid to the instructor.
