You’ll learn how to choose colors and how to apply them in layers using several techniques including palette knife. Each student works on their own artwork and at their own pace. You have a choice to choose one or more mediums; however, it is advised to learn one or two mediums only in a session (preferably one). This will give you enough time to focus and to explore different types of paintings using that medium. We will work from still life setup or from a reference photo. You may choose landscape, seascape, floral, still life, figurative and/or portraits. Beginner as well as experienced painters are welcome.
Note: Supplies are not included.

Gelli printing is a simple and intuitive form of monoprinting that allows for playful experimentation with color, texture, and layering—no prior experience required.
During the first part of the session, students will focus on creating a collection of painted papers using a variety of gelli plate techniques. In the following weeks, these papers will be cut and stacked into layered compositions, revealing rhythm, pattern, and visual movement through straight-edge shapes and thoughtful placement.
This class is ideal for anyone interested in process-based exploration, collage, and surface design. Come unwind, experiment, and learn a versatile creative approach in a supportive studio environment.
