SATURDAY YOUTH WORKSHOP
Kids Halloween Workshop
Ages 8 & Up

Come join the spooky art fun! Complete and take home 2 projects in one art-full afternoon:
Imagine ~ a dark night sky sprinkled with glittering stars, and bats flying across a full moon shining down on a hayfield of pumpkins, Jack-o-lanterns, and perhaps a wispy ghost . . . Learn step-by-step how to paint your own “Halloween-scene” in acrylics.
But that’s not all ~ you will also make a large, 3D black bat (with a 16” wingspan), which you can use as a hand-puppet (to make its realistic wings flap), or hang it by a thread from your ceiling and just tap it to watch it “fly” around above your head (or the head of an unsuspecting friend!)
So get on your broomstick and fly on over to MCAA ~ see you there!
If you like, sign up with a friend and double the fun, but hurry . . . Class size is limited to 8 participants.
Materials: Each registrant, please bring $10 to give to the instructor to reimburse her for the materials she will provide.

Kids Air Dry Clay

Come create one-of -a -kind objects working in clay. Students will learn to use simple tools and traditional hand-building techniques as well as ways to press texture into the clay. They will all strengthen their color and design skills when we glaze our pieces. Materials fee $20.00 payable to the instructor.

Drawing Portraits

In this class, students will learn how to approach drawing portraits by studying from master painters and creating self portraits. Experiment with different materials to learn new drawing techniques. This class utilizes various dry media such as charcoal, graphite, and conte crayon.

Intro to Procreate Youth

Learn the basics of Procreate with digital artist and illustrator Casey Cruz! In this class, you will learn how to set up a canvas, navigate program features, AND use default tools to create new works of art.
*Participants must have an iPad, Procreate application installed, and charger.
*An Apple Pencil is strongly recommended.
