As we look ahead to 2009, we've glimpsed back at another busy year here at the Morristown Studio of Morris County Art Association.
This past year we hosted four open house events. Members and friends visited our studio to view exhibits, watch artists at work and discuss fine art. They were able to register for classes, meet other artists and make new friends.
In Summer '08 we returned to the property of the Vail Mansion for our annual outdoor fundraiser, Celebrate Morristown Fine Arts and Craft festival. It was a successful event for the artists and crafters, for the art collectors and for the town! MCAA is happy to report that local business are eager to support our efforts for our next summer's festival; and visiting artists from Maine to Florida as well as our local artists are eager to come back, build their tents and sell their wares!
Members have had their work in exhibits through all season-winter and spring salons at the Studio, and Summertime at the Morris Township Municipal Building in Convent Station, and in "Expressions of Autumn" back here at the Studio. This exhibit especially showed natures harvest and bounty of color, design and form. Thanks for your participation. We look forward to many more new venues. Coming soon - "Something About Winter 2009."
Our Website is up and running and is an art-work in progress. Visit us often for updates to see our gallery of art and photos featuring members in exhibits, and our artists/instructors and their work. Classes and workshops are all on the website. www.morriscountyartassoc.org
