The Clothed Model - All Media
Annette Hanna
Work from a model with long (two week) poses.  You can take advantage of the long
poses or do shower time drawings from different positions.  It is one of the best ways to
learn proportion, anatomy, values, and gesture.  Problems solved in the figure are
applicable to any subject matter.  Shape, plane, light and texture will be addressed.

The Sketchbook

Experimental Watermedia/Abstract Painting

Develop an individual approach and expand your painting and design skills using fluid
acrylics, watercolor and collage materials.  Learn layering techniques using multiple
transparent glazes, gold leafing with collage, and texture with various tools.  Explore
creative ways of combining watermedia and acrylics.  Emphasis on underlying abstract
design structure enables you to employ these techniques to enhance both your

Traditional Oil Painting

learning about their lives as well as their artistic techniques and approaches.  Watercolor,
acrylic, pastel, collage, and mixed media will be used to create our own masterpieces in
