Still Life Oil Painting - Painting Brass and Copper

The class will start with a demonstration and discussion about how to approach the
subject using a prismatic palette.  The students will then have their choice of
different brass and copper still life set ups to paint from for the remainder of their
time.  Study of values, edges and prismatic atmosphere light effects will be
emphasized.  Limited to 10 students - minimum 5 students.  Email Diana for a

Painting Pastel over Watercolor
Peggy Dressel
Many artists are now choosing to combine mediums and break away from the
traditional techniques of pastel painting for a unique look.  Experimenting with
different surfaces and combining mediums, playing texture and color of the pastel
against the translucency of the watercolor is fun and will enhance your artistic
development.  Call for a supply list.  Bring your lunch.  Minimum 6 students.

Learn about the elements of two-dimensional design using watercolor as your
medium.  We will experiment with loose application of watercolor to achieve an
exciting yet integrated image.  Come with an open mind.  Beginners and
intermediate painters.  A supply list is available on request.
